High-Tech Engineering Training Academy

High-Tech trainees learning to programmeOur academy trainees are fully trained in four key areas:

/ Inspection
CMM measuring equipment and the ability to write inspection programmes. The skills to be able to read drawings and use a variety of manual checking gauges. The importance of working to procedures from first off to final inspection.

/ Manual/CNC Turning
Manual and complex 7 axis sliding head and sub-spindle machinery.

/ Manual/CNC Milling
During the course of the training programme we ensure that all academy trainees are fully competent in working 3, 4 and 5 axis machinery. They are also trained in the skills required to access and plan methods of manufacture.

/ Programming
Academy trainees start learning on HASS machine control training simulators, and are taught all aspects of CAD/CAM. We ensure they are competent to create their own programmes from a variety of cad data including solid models.
