Established in 1985 High-Tech Engineering is a family run business that has seen steady growth and now operates from a new purpose-build facility utilising advanced technology to produce precision components cost effectively in a variety of materials. Having built a reputation for delivering high quality machined parts on time within the Motorsport industry High-Tech Engineering have more recently moved into the Aerospace sector. With a total commitment to quality and on time delivery High-Tech Engineering have gained some key approvals within the industry including BAE Systems.
The company are committed to in-house training and have been running an engineering training scheme since 1994. Having seen the benefits of this training, a designated engineering Academy was opened in September 2006 and houses two HAAS machines and also multiple HAAS control training simulators to ensure a steady flow of well-trained, multi-skilled staff.
The Academy has been recognised by SEMTA the LSC and the National Skills Academy who are encouraged by the commitment to training new engineers. In recognition of this ongoing training High-Tech Engineering received an award for Engineering Excellence in April 2006 from the GTMA and are now approved as an NVQ training center.
High-Tech Engineering were invited by the LSC to form part of a regional consortium to deliver the new 14 - 19 Engineering Diploma. This has been approved with delivery starting September 2010. We have also formed a link with the National Skills Academy and are investigating the possibilities of aligning our tailor made syllabus for NVQ accreditation.
The company is now focusing on expansion and is involved in
Strategic Supply with
several customers and is a leading supplier on the ADS
SC21 programme.
Also, to further enhance on our manufacturing skills, High-Tech
Engineering are now
offering an assembly service which is within the scope of our
AS9100 accreditation.
